The 18-hole mini golf course at the hotel was a fun and exciting activity for the whole family. We had a great time competing against each other and it added an extra element of enjoyment to our stay. The children's playground and sun terrace were also fantastic additions, providing a safe and entertaining space for the kids to play while we relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings.
For dads, it would be great if there was a larger variety of children's activities available.

Wonderful view to the lake with swans! Please, ask the lakeside room.
The hotel is situated beside the street and the railway! Trains were very noisy, so ask for lake side room.

Our room at the Weisses Rossli, a junior suite, had a very large balcony overlooking the lake. The room itself was also extremely large with a nice bathroom with double sinks. The breakfast was good, but there was an extra charge is you wanted an egg. The hotel has a beautiful location right on the lake and the cycling path around Lake Constance, and there is a large free parking lot across the street from the hotel. A secure garage is also available for overnight bicycle storage. The hotel owner was extremely pleasant, and made a dinner reservation for us in their restaurant without our even having to ask--reserving a lakeside table for us for the entire evening.
The major drawback to this hotel was that the room was quite warm, making sleeping a bit uncomfortable. Although we could have opened the windows, we choose not to, as there are no window screens on most windows in Switzerland.

It felt like being a special friend staying with very special people in a huge home. The room and bath were squeaky clean – with comfortable amenities including big boudoir down pillows. The restaurant was superb, and our evening meal of Rinder Schmorbarten with vegetable side dishes was delicious and not overly grandiose. We compared it to our experience at the ostentatious Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, and decided that hands down, Weisse Rössli’s chef topped that restaurant by leaps and bounds. The gracious hospitality made it possible for us to relax after a stressful day and enjoy a lovely dinner, a restful sleep, and a bountiful breakfast buffet.
Everything was perfect! Maybe a nice sauna or steam room to end a perfect evening.

We had a fantastic stay at a hotel right on the shores of the lake. the location was excellent, just a short walk from the train stop and close to Altenrhein Airport. Our room had a stunning view of the lake, perfect for enjoying the sunset and dawn. the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel like rewarded guests. the breakfast on the patio was delicious, with a variety of options including Swiss cheese, crispy bread, and tasty espresso coffee. we had a great experience and would definitely return to Bodenseehotel Weisses Rossli. Thanks for the hospitality!
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like. 😊.

I stayed in a room with a lake view and it was pretty amazing. The room was very clean and comfortable. The rooms were quite sound-proof too, which I really liked. I also really liked how the floors creaked as you walked down the hallway and on the stairs (no creaking noises at all in the rooms though), because it always reminded me of how historic the hotel is. It's a very cool place. The owners were super nice and I could tell they worked hard to keep that place running smoothly. I liked the breakfast; it was a typical European serve-yourself type of thing. Breakfast was served in the dining room overlooking the lake, which I thought was a cool way to start the day. Overall, it was a great value and I will definitely stay there again.
The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. I forgot to tell them about it when I checked out, but it seems like there's no caulking in the gap between the wall and shower glass. So the bathroom floor got soaked. The hotel still hasn't switched over to keyless door locks, but I think it's common in that area for hotels to still use old-fashioned metal keys. I never felt unsafe there. And probably the biggest drawback about the hotel is that it's so far from Rorschach and all the shops and activities out there. There's a bus line that stops every hour near Weisses Rossli but I didn't see the route it takes. There's also a train stop about 5 minutes away that goes into Rorschach for 3 francs each way. So there's options. That's really the only negatives I can think of.

Celebrating the new year at this hotel was absolutely amazing! the location was perfect, with the most breathtaking view of the lake from my room. the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast that was included was scrumptious! Another huge plus was being able to walk my dog along the lake, it was a perfect way to start the day.
The restaurant was a bit too fancy for my taste, and I was hoping for more casual dining. the traffic noise from the main road was a bit of a nuisance, but it didn't take away from the great time I had at this hotel.
